Geoff began his legal career in the Worcester area in 1989. He joined Lian Zarrow in 1995 and became a partner just two years later, in 1997. Over the course of his career, he has tried both jury and jury-waived cases at every level of the Massachusetts court system and has argued before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
In addition to his trial work, Geoff has been a leader in the legal community. He co-chairs the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Tiered Community Mentoring Program, received the MBA’s Community Service Award in 2019, and served as President of the Worcester County Bar Association from 2021 to 2022. At the request of justices of the Worcester Probate and Family Court, he has also represented individuals facing highly sensitive and complex life circumstances.
Geoff’s practice has long centered on representing individuals and families facing catastrophic injuries. He has successfully pursued claims for victims of automobile and bicycle accidents, dog bites, slip-and-fall incidents, workplace injuries, and sexual abuse. His trial experience also extends to criminal defense and general civil litigation, as well as criminal appeals. In this capacity, he has defended clients charged with motor vehicle offenses, sexual assault, computer crimes (including possession of child pornography), violent crimes, drug offenses, and larceny.
With decades of experience in high-stakes cases and a reputation for fairness, patience, and sound judgment, Geoff brings exceptional skill to his role as a mediator. His ability to balance deep legal knowledge with empathy for those in conflict makes him a valued addition to the CMMA panel.
