Barbara Katzenberg has over 35 years of Domestic Relations and Family Law experience and understands the great challenges that people face working through these very sensitive matters. With over three decades of experience, Barbara has committed her practice area to the resolution of domestic relations and family law issues, providing fair and workable solutions for both parties that allow them to successfully move forward into a new chapter in life. Barbara is an experienced mediator and conciliator working with parties to create an out-of-court settlement related to issues of divorce (including same sex marriages), family law, custody disputes for divorcing and never married parties, modifications and division of marital property, with the goal of reaching a resolution that is fair, agreed upon by all parties, and ready for judicial approval.
Attorney Katzenberg attended Tufts University where she received her undergraduate degree in early childhood development, attained her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University and her JD from Boston College Law School. Barbara spent the first eleven years of her practice as a staff litigation attorney for the Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Division where she was appointed as a special prosecutor. In 2002, Barbara established her private practice in the Worcester area where she focuses exclusively on Domestic Relations and Family Law litigation, mediation and conciliation. Barbara remains committed to helping families find workable solutions to their often-difficult conflicts. She is an active member of the Worcester County Bar Association and a board member of the Women’s Success Network through the Chamber of Commerce, an active professional committee that connects local women and provides community outreach support. Barbara is also a volunteer conciliator and ARC counsel (attorney’s representing children) through the Worcester Probate and Family Court. Barbara lives in Douglas with her Husband. She has three adult children and two grandchildren. She enjoys living an active life and can often be seen on the lake in her kayak with her Westie.
